Process

  1. Brief

  • Understand the client and the brief in order to establish what is required

  • If it is an environmental graphic commission, I would conduct a site visit with the client to understand the opportunities and constraints  

  • Undertake research to understand the brand, the quality of space

  • Develop overarching themes

2. Ideas

Develop initial themes and ideas:

Based on research and a thorough understanding of brand/space/brief, quickly develop a range of themes and concepts for discussion and selection.

3. Develop

Develop ideas to a greater level of detail:

  • Working up ideas to scale

  • Putting together an idea of the cost with an awareness of the budget

4. Final Product

  • Prepare and finalise the artwork files for production

  • Visit the suppliers and review production and fabrication

  • Point of contact on-site to monitor installation
